Cpu and Memory reports were not showing for the Nexus switches

Hi All,

I configured the Nexus switches to monitoring, I am able to get the interface reports but I am unable to get the cpu and memory reports. SNMP community string is also configured to that switches.

Can you please let me know if any special configurations required for these type switches?

What is the Model(s) and IOS version on the Nexus Device? Is the device configured for SNMP version 2 or 3?

Can you see Cpu&Memory poller in "List Resources" on this node? We don't perform automatic reinventory if you enabled cpu/mem polling after node was added into Orion. In that case you must run "List resources" and enable polling if it's detected.

Nexus switches use NX-OS.. It is completely different from IOS that everyone is use to. I believe in 10.3 they just added proper support and fixes in the Orion core module for Nexus 5000 series switches. I would perform an upgrade and then rediscover/list resources on the Nexus switch and check again. Also, double check how SNMP is works and is set up in NX-OS. I haven't played with NX-OS much, but knowing the crazy guys at Cisco who knows what they might have done to SNMP and the way it functions and polls OID's.
