Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Wrong Bandwidth Interface
latour
I have a router Cisco 1721, with a serial interface configured with a bandwidth of 256k. The CIR agreed with the service provider was 128k.
When I add this interface in my Orion Network Performance Monitor v7 SLX (7.1.236), the information about this interface tell me that the interface bandwidth is 64k, and, of course, all graphics and data show the information based in this bandwidth.
The configuration of the interface and the subinterface in the router is:
interface Serial0
description Puerta Frame-Relay
bandwidth 256
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
ip policy route-map cimex
no fair-queue
!
interface Serial0.1 point-to-point
description Enlace Frame-Relay
ip address 172.18.4.126 255.255.255.252
backup delay 2 60
backup interface Dialer10
ip ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 DBlinn
ip ospf cost 300
ip policy route-map cimex
frame-relay interface-dlci 55
In the Monitor Performance Manager, the details of this interface show a Port speed of 256k, an MTU 1500, and receive and transmit bandwidth ok 64k.
What is wrong?
TIA,
Latour.

Do a search in this forum for "Bandwidth Calculation"....

You can set this to anything you like in Orion.

Go to the orion management tool and select the "Interface Details" for that interface on your cisco and you can manually changed the setting at the top of that page
