Delegation

Hi,
I'm new to Solarwinds. Is it possible to delegate roles say to a group of users so that they can setup & maintain their own views/reports, etc. for objects only of interest to them? Sort of like a main admin, then multiple sub-admins.

Yes, you can do that on the Orion web site.
Set up new Summary, Node and Interface View for an Account, then from the Account Manager on the Web Site allow the Account to "Customize Views", but do not allow Admin rights.

This will allow them to customize the Web for their own Account.

We also have had customers set up seperate polling engines for their end-users and allow the end-user to manage it completly. This allows them to add/remove new devices, but only on the devices assigned to their polling engine. They only see the Nodes in the System Manager assigned to their polling engine. The seperate polling engine stats still show up on the web site just like everything else because it's still in the same database.
