Configuring a SAM monitor to poll once per day at a specified time

Is it possible to configure the actual time that a monitor polls instead of just the frequency? I would like to capture the results of a particular transaction that runs daily by running a Windows Powershell Script Monitor component at a specified time.

Run the template hourly and exit at the top of the script unless (Get-Date).Hour is the hour you want it to happen.

Yes, I could do that and return some arbitrary statistic. It will affect the average and trend lines for the statistic though. It would be nice to be able to exit a script without writing any result at all. Do you know a way to do that?

Tricky. What about this?

Run a PowerShell script via scheduled task daily at the desired time.
Have your PowerShell script update a node custom property (i.e., PowerShellTaskResults).
Have your SAM PowerShell component examine the custom property for this node every 30 minutes.

That way you'll be able to get your sample when you want it and your trend line shouldn't suffer (it's better than dropping to zero 47 out of 48 samples, right?). If the value was 25 all day long and 35 after the sample time it would continue to be 35 until the next time it was sampled the following day.
