Bandwidth utilization report

Hi all, I was asked to give a bandwidth utilization report and an availability report over the last 7 days of all the branches of my company. The networking team has NPM and NTA implemented and I have full admin access to them, so I'm wondering which one could work better for each report.

I'm newbie at Solarwinds so I hope someone can helpme with this.

Hi there fpdell - you'd want to start by having a node custom property (Settings > Custom Properties > Add Custom Property > Choose Node > Type: String) and then once you've done that set it for all the nodes in your environment. From there, you can take one of the existing availability reports and tweak it to group by your custom property.

There are several canned reports in NPM that can provide some overall, or detailed, information for you. Plus, you can either used the pre-built Availability Reports:

NTA can show the top X conversations, or protocols, or sources, or destinations, or types of traffic, domains visited--whatever you need.
