How to change URL in DPA Alert emails?

Question

I was provided with a recently installed and functional DPA instance and asked to covert the web service from HTTP to HTTPS.  After completing this task following standard Tomcat procedure (ie not through a DPA configuration interface if such a thing exists) everything is working fine with the web client.

But we noticed that alert emails have a hyperlink using URL with format http://myhostname:8123/iwc/etc.  Where can I customize and correct this value?  The installation is on Windows Server with an MS SQL backend database.

You need the steps in this KB to set the email to the other port. DPA email overrides - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support  Though mandevilis also correct you can turn off HTTP traffic if you wish.

You can actually turn off port 8123 and only use the HTTPS port of 8124 if you want.

Turn off HTTP traffic in DPA (Port 8123) - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support  will show you how in the <DPAInstallDirectory>\iwc	omcat\conf\server.xml file.

Or, you can try modifying the connector to include scheme="https" like on port 8124 to force it to use https in the url generation.

See if one of those works to force alerting urls to include https.

Out of curiosity, when you click on the alert url, it should redirect to https if that is how you have it configured. Does it not?
