Network Atlas - Creating icons with color alerts

Question

It seems all the new icons have a colored background to identify the status, but I like the old ones like under Scalable Legacy Icons that the actual device changes color.

What is needed to create icons like this? I would like to take some visio icons and convert them over and have the device itself change colors and not a background.

I have one icon showing up under Imported, but it still puts the color squares behind it even though the icon is a different color for each file up, down etc. It shows the image as gray on all of them. I also tried exporting an image from Visio and saving it as .wmf. I think created four copies of it and named them as follows: building01.wmf building01-up.wmf building01-down.wmf building01-warning.wmf I then put them in the \Documents and Settings\\Application Data\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\Maps\Orion\localhost\NetObjects. I open Network Atlas and the files disappear from that folder, like they get imported yet they are not listed under the imported folder. I tried putting them in \Documents and Settings\\Application Data\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\Maps\Orion\localhost\User Graphics and the same thing happens. They go away when I launch Atlas but it doesn't show up under imported.
