We would like to know which is better to use with McAfee EPO server, SNMP or WMI?
I don't remember if I had a specific reason, but I monitor the one here along with the database using WMI. I don't have any issues with monitoring it in that fashion if that helps.
If you are running SAM, then I would push the agent to it. If not then I would run SNMPv3 on it. Last resort would be WMI. WMI tends to be resource intensive and chatty and you want to save on resources for your EPO server.
