Cisco Nexus 9508

We have a few Cisco Nexus 9508's in our environment.

But Solarwinds detects these as "Wireless Controller".

I tried downloading & installing the latest MIBs.cfg and restarting SW.

Even after deleting the 9508's from SW and adding it back still "Wireless Controller".

Do I need to download and submit the MIB files from Cisco for SW to get these added to the MIBs.cfg database?

Or might something else be wrong in our setup?

I found the resolution to this.

Settings > All Settings then under Views > View by Device Type

The Cisco object type was set to "Wireless Controller" rather than "(default)".

I have seen this on multiple Solarwinds installations and lots of posts about "Wireless Controller".

I assume there was some patch or upgrade that Solarwinds did that changed this setting.

Status: Resolved.
