SNMP on Windows devices FIXED

wanted to let you know that KB972840 is being released by MS to fix this issue and should fix of the long standing issues with devices not responding to SNMP requests. Took a while to get MS to accept this as their problem but we finally got them to run with it.

Does this fix also apply to Windows server 2008 for some reason orion isn't discovering any of my Domain Controllers via snmp. I've configured all the necessary parameters and still solarwinds can't discover these nodes.

According to the KB from the MSFT site this only applies to 2003, but you might want to search on the MSFT site more. Also, can you verify by MIB browser or do a wireshark sniff to make sure communication is good to the DC's

I can only reach the device by ICMP. I've tried the MIB browser and still cannot reach the DC.. any suggessions?
