Adding custom connect options to the right-click and node details

I have noticed at the top of the Node details screen there is a toolbar with a few different connection options (http, ssh, telnet, tracert, and rdp). I have also noticed that there are sevaral of my Engineers Toolkit options that exist as a rightclick option when over a node. I was wondering if there is a way to customize additional buttons or functions.

For example I have used an application called network notepad which allowed me to add these custom functions. I would like the ability to VNC to these machines (VNC is the only way I have found other than ssh to access my Linux boxes reliably. Thanks.

So which do you want to modify, the toolset right click?

If you find the file SWToolset.MenuOptions, for example, mine is located at C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Common you can edit this and add items to the toolset right click

That worked great for the right-click toolbar. I did the following on my side:

1. Create a new document and paste the following: @start "" /b "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %*

2. Named the file vnc.bat and saved it in c:\windows\system32

3. Pasted the following into the SWToolset.MenuOptions document: <MenuOption Visible="TRUE" Title="VNC" BeginGroup="TRUE" HasSubMenu="FALSE" ExecString="cmd.exe /K vnc http://${TARGET}:5800" Icon="WEBBROWSE" Extra="" Parent="" Required="4"/>

I am quite happy with that setup for my own workstation, however for my other users I would like to add to the web controls. Do you have the location to edit those?

For those modifying the SwToolset.MenuOptions file to customize your Orion/Toolset integration menu the file you will want to edit now is at:

<LocalApplicationData>\SolarWinds\ToolsetIntegrationTray\Menu.xml

Where <LocalApplicationData> = <ProfileFolder>\Local Settings\ Application Data

This is for the current method of Orion/Toolset integration which started with Toolset 10.6.
