We recently upgraded our Exchange 2013 Servers to CU23, and our Exchange monitoring got borked.

On our CAS servers the monitor for the default Web Site is fine, and displaying green. The monitor the "Exchange Back End" site currently has an unknown status. The default website seems to have the important sites (ecp, ews,etc) under it, while the Exchange Back End only has an entry for PowerShell. I suspect it is a certificate binding issue, but before I bother trying to fix it wanted to get an idea of what other people monitor.

You are probably on the right track about certificate binding. The default configuration for the PowerShell virtual directory does not use SSL. (Additional steps are required to make that work, but don't worry too much because remote PowerShell still uses WinRM, which is ALWAYS encrypted.)

I've seen Exchange CUs bork SSL bindings, so definitely double check all of those. If they are good, I would suggest editing the settings for your Exchange AppInsight and reconfigure. I've also had this lose its connection after installing an Exchange CU.
