Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Add-on idea.

This might be a useful utility addon for the Orion package. Node Audit is the best term I can think of for this.
Given a node, and an custom propertly, run a program at a specified interval to add new interfaces or remove old ones.
A custom property would be used to activate the feature and determine how the utility would work. For example, add and remove interfaces based on discovery, remove non-existant interfaces only, add new interfaces only if they are up/up, etc. Rules could be set up to ignore loopback interfaces and such.
Such program could be scheduled to run at a specified interval, like nightly maintainence for example.

Sounds like Active Discovery with a twist that removes old non-existent interfaces. Active discovery new devices/interfaces on user-configurable timed interval. I could go for that.
