Populating Custom Property Field via Web Console

We have view restrictions based on CustomerName column in the nodes table, filled in via the Custom Property editor. What I'd like to do is be able to fill this field in while a node is being added to through the web interface without having the user log into the System Manager just to fill this field in. Any ideas on how to do this?

If you are using version 9, then there are two things you need to do with their user account to make this happen:

(1) Allow the account node management rights

(2) Place any of the Node Tree resources on their home page and they will be able to access the "Manage Nodes" page.

From there they will be able to edit custom properties for nodes.

That is the first place I looked, I just don't see where to access node custom properties through the web console (like Custom Property Editor in the System Manager).

From the Summary Page to the right of the All Nodes Resource-> Manage Nodes will take you into the Node Management page.

Check one of the nodes and then click the Edit Properties button. Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see the custom properties.

Mark I must be missing something. When I edit properties on an existing node, all I see is the SNMP information and the polling interval.
