Web Admin Password lost - Account Manager Tool inexistant !

Hello

I am runing NPM 9.5 SP4 (latest). Web Admin Password need to be reset.

What is the procedure please ? I heard about "Account Manager Tool" in

some forum posts, but did not find it ?

1. You can reset the admin password to blank by going to the Accounts table in the database and deleting the encrypted Password for that account.

2. We leave that out to reduce the download size. You can download it separately directly from Microsoft. We do ship a simple database tool that you can find on the Start menu under SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager. It's adequate for doing things like that admin password reset.

1-) In fact I installed NPM 9.5 trial version for a customer, who delayed the demo session and we ended up by forgetting the Web Admin Password. Demo expires in 11 days.

2-) I also noticed that from NPM 9.5 Eval, when it installs SQL 2005 Express, it does not include SQL Studio, which I used to dig deep when needed in the SQL tables, or for special non out-of-the-box reports...

It's done as per your instaruction and I can Web login now and run my demo.
