Adjusting the rediscover interval

The rediscovery interval for devices being monitored by Orion by default is set to 30 minutes. I would ideally like rediscovery to occur only once a week as our network engineers don't want excessive SNMP polling on any devices, especially during production hours (9AM-6PM, Monday-Friday). I noticed that the rediscovery interval can only be adjusted to 600 minutes.
1) Has anyone found a way to increase this interval?
2) If that is not possible, is there a way to disable rediscovery?
3) Is there a way to schedule the time of the rediscovery?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.
