Anyone had or having issues polling OC-x SONET interfaces?

I have a new SONET interface which started off with an error as -2% utilization then it settled down to normal but now its gone back to -2% again without any apparent reason, that I can see.

Has anyone seen any issues with monitoring these type interfaces - OC-3 SONET?
