.Net 4.8 and SQL Compatibility Issues

This morning I went to update Solarwinds to the latest and greatest. I read that for HF 1 you needed to install .Net 4.8. I updated the app server and that went fine. Updated the SQL back end and guess what BOOM it blew up in my face and now we are currently DOWN. So becareful what you update... Any suggestions aLTeReGo ?

What exactly did you update on your SQL server? The .NET 4.8 is required only on the Orion application servers, not on the MSSQL database server.

Last week I updated all things Solarwinds to .Net 4.7.2 to prep for the updates. I then saw where HF 1 needed .Net 4.8 to run so before I did the updates I updated by SW App front end to 4.8 and SW SQL Back end to 4.8. Once I rebooted from that SQL has not worked at all. Still trying to figure this out but I maybe onto something.
