Adding comments to alert acknowledgment

Does anyone have a way of inserting a comment field for acknowledging alerts? We have to run monthly reports regarding our system downtimes, as most do, however this would be much easier if I had some comments to go with the alerts as I look back towards the beginning of the month. Anyone have any solutions?

Could really use some help with this so if anyone has any custom code for the website I would greatly appreciate any help!!!!!!!!!

Just use Custom Property Editor to add a comments field. You'll probably then have to follow this up by modifying the AcknowledgeAlerts resource file to pop-up a window that prompts for a comment.

I apologixe but I am not familiar enough on editing the asp file to prompt for a comment field. Would you happend to have any example of this or know where I could find some tutorials related to this? I appreciate your help.
