Custom MIB Poller for entSensorValue

Question

Hi SW Team,

Need an immediate help regarding how to display the entSensorValue with a 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.x object id. The problem is I cannot assign it to an interface and cannot click ok to continue the setup because the "Get SNMP request" is failed. If I will be assigning it to a specific node, when using the "Get SNMP next request" test is successful, but the result displayed is only "1". How are we going to display the value of the entSensorValue if it cannot be successful using "Get SNMP Request"

What type of device and code (IOS) level is it?

Hi Dave,

It is returning a 1 value however, we need the value/rate of the power, do you have any idea on how we are going to do this?

I might have things wrong, but I think the entSensorValue (CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB) is meant to be node specific only.

If the snmp get is returning a "1", then I assume that this is telling you that the sensor value you are doing the query against is a sensor type of "truthvalue" which will return only two values - true(1) or false(2).

What does the SensorDataType tell you about the datatype - is it 12(truthvalue)?
