Disk Predictive Failure

We have bunch of DELL physical servers, and couple days ago there was a "Predictive Failure" reported in Windows event log. Other than setting up a Windows Event monitor for this event, is there an out of the box solution for disk failure?

The server is using DELL PERC array, and I see the array in the asset inventory, but none of the physical drives. How do I get the disk information?

Hopefully this is not a duplicate question, I've searched in THWACK but couldn't find the same question.

Take a look at monitoring hardware health for servers. I'm assuming the server in question is not running ESXi but rather Windows, in this instance you would have to ensure that hardware health is enabled on the box which may require OpenManage to be installed on the server.

Thank you, and yes it is Windows. I checked with our HW SME, and we do have Dell OpenManage in the box. I have ticket open and been informed that I must change the poll to SNMP as Dell doesn't provide array and disk health through WMI (https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Array-and-disk-sensors-are-not-polled-from-DELL-servers-using-the-agent-polling-method)

It is certainly possible that you may have to poll it using SNMP. I have seen that with other server vendors, such as the HP Gen10 servers, you cannot get hardware health on them unless you are polling via SNMP because of the way that the iLo on it is presenting the data (if the OS is Windows)

Switching poll to SNMP doesn't seem a good option for me as it appears that means we'll lose some other monitoring. Also I just learned that we had turned off SNMP for all Win servers a while back.
