App Insight for Active Directory "FSMO Role Down" Alerts

Wondering if someone can help me. I keep getting, randomly throughout the day, alerts as such:

"FSMO Role - XYZ Master" of Application "Active Directory" on DCxyz is Down

Happens with various FSMO roles hence the "XYZ Master" above.

A few minutes later it clears. The DC's all seem fine so I can never tell if his is a false positive or not.

The kicker is the server that gets reported is never the ACTUAL FSMO holder. So am I seeing a connectivity issue?

Unsure how to interpret this alert properly.

Have you checked your AD replication health?

Have you ever reassigned or forced a FSMO role change?

Have you ever retired a former FSMO role holder and had to do a metadata cleanup, or are all of the alerting DCs still active (just not the actual FSMO holders?)

Does the command `netdom query fsmo` report what you would expect to see?
