Windows cluster monitoring

As a former BMC house. I really liked the cluster monitoring BMC provided. I'd like to replicate the cluster monitoring to reflect Status Up/Down or Availability for the Cluster Nodes Active and Passive, Status of Cluster groups, Status of Cluster resources. It appears I have to write a VB or WQL script which I'm not very good at. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?

We're currently developing an official application template for monitoring Microsoft Clusters that will be posted to the Content Exchange Zone of Thwack. In the meantime you can be alerted to critical cluster events such as failovers using the template below.

Wow, ok was hoping you would already have an official template as windows clustering has been around along time.

Will this official template also support 2003 clusters?

And how can i get notification of when this is released?

The template is being worked on currently. We'll make every attempt to ensure it works with Windows Server 2003/2008/R2. This template will be posted to Thwack when it's complete so be sure to check the Thwack APM Content Exchange occasionally. It's unlikely it will be done this week, but check back weekly as we are diligently working on it.
