Energywise - Just knocked out a C3750 switch stack for our IP phones and now is locked up

I am unsure about this Energywise interface management since the default power is set to 0.

Orion interface drop down didn't show up forever in my wanting to set this up and it defaulted to 0 and I had already executed and now my switch stack is all messed up some ports are working some are not and I am trying to correct but getting an error.

Needless to say I am not a happy camper and some people are very upset with me as well and I can not reload the stack until after hours. May be my fault for not waiting and being impatient but come on default these to what cisco has them defaulted too, POE as far as I know is set to level 10 and on.

I am sorry to hear you had an issue. Did you use the set power level within the NPM console to make this setting change? I will put in a request to change that to 10/Full Power.

Can you telnet/ssh to the device and set the power level back to 10?

Nope can't do anything right now.

I haev opened a tac case with cisco since I can't even manually change the power settings on the interface from CLI.

Is there a way to kill any pending process that energywise may be trying to execute?

Yeah this is not good,

All we do is an SNMP Set operation from NPM so not sure why there is still a pending process. Can you make any changes to the device?

As for the power level adjustment it did the default to 0 which I believe got me into this mess and I quickly tried to change that to 10 and execute the job again and it will only give me the error above if I select all the ports in the stack. I have tried executing it on like 10 ports and it completes but the stack never shows this as changed in the running interface.

I don't know what to do at this point. Cisco is looking at it but it is as if the manage energywise interface script is hung and has not completed and will not let anything else change the interface even through command line. That is why I have asked if there was a way of stopping this and killing the task.

Working with Cisco tech this afternoon and this may be a code bug.

VTY lines are not releasing or clearing on disconnect and when issueing a command to the switch it locks up that VTY line and will not clear, console is even locked up at this point.

I am going to have to reload the stack tonight after business hours.

If Energywise would use the default settings that a switch has from the start I think this issue would have been avoided but locking up the switch and vty lines seems to be a bug caused by setting up energywise and then trying to correct the settings for the levels from default 0 to 10 as quickly as possible.

I am upgrading to the lastes version of IOS which I was told should correct this issue tonight.
