Prior to NPM 10, our traps came through with actual values rather than OIDs in critical spots in the trap. After the upgrade to NPM 10, they only contain the OID. My data center manager is certain that nothing changed on the devices that send the traps (UPS and CRAC units) and that something must have changed in v10 to cause this.
I'm trying to determine if there's something I need to do in Orion to get these translated again. Otherwise I am stuck with having to create separate alerts for each condition description, rather than being able to add the variable in the alert to indicate what happened.
I have opened a ticket with support but am getting nowhere. I wonder if anyone else has seen this behavior.
