It would be quite usefull to be able to create group objects in Solarwinds for example a pair of HA routers/switches. These group objects could then be checked for availability. So only if both HA peers go down is the availability affected.
This would also be usefull if you could assign rules or conditions to the objects within the group so that if the logical objects depend on any of the individual objects in serial fashion and one object goes down the entire group object is down.
This may be easy to do by putting the individual objects into a map, and then having individual map rules. And treating the map as an object.
