How do I properly monitor Azure?

I added my Azure cloud service and subscriptions, but I see a very limited amount of what I should be seeing. I'm really only seeing Virtual Machines. How do I get insight on my various Azure Services (App services, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Sql DBs, etc)?

I would go into Setting\All Settings and then SAM Settings. Next go to Manage Templates, and search for Azure. This will allow to edit the application monitors, and see what each component does.

Sure, I can do that. I'm fairly new to SAM, so this will probably be a pretty green question... Perhaps my problem is that I'm not applying a template to Azure? It seems I can only apply a template to a node, and not the entire Azure cloud connection?
