Nightly maintenance

I don't want nightly maintenance. I want manual maintenance only. How do I disable automatic nightly maintenance?

Filip,
There are a couple of ways of doing this. First, you can rename the Database-Maint.exe application. By renaming this application the job will no longer by automatically started. Also, you can move or rename the NetPerfMon-Nightly.Miantenance file. This will have the same effect.
Please let us know if we can provide any additional information or assistance.

Hi,
Another question along similar lines. Do we need Task Scheduler and SQL Server Agent running on the Orion NPM Server at all?
Or does Orion NPM have its own scheduling engine. I don't see any jobs in either Scheduled Tasks or within SQL but just need a confirmation so I could decide whether to keep these services running on the server or disable them.
Thanks,
Vaibhav

Vaibhav,
There are 2 scenarios where you would need these components on the Orion server. First, for the Windows Task Scheduler, if you're using the Orion Report Scheduler, it uses this component.
Secondly, if you are running SQL on your Orion server you will want the SQL Agent on the box and you'll want to define some SQL jobs to backup and reindex/shrink your database.
