It's been about 2 weeks since our upgrade from NPM 11.0.1 and SAM 6.1.1 to NPM 11.5 and SAM 6.2. For the most part, the upgrade went ok. I've got an issue that I have up with the SolarWinds developers regarding the web alerting, and now I've just uncovered another problem with the conversion to web alerts in the form of missing or invalid variables. This is leading to me having to go through EVERY alert action and check a number of variables leading to a change due to the upgrade. The older variables didn't seemed to be converted, but apparently no longer work with the new alerting mechanism. This is at the very least time consuming having to set these variables back up. I haven't even begun to look at the custom SQL variables I built prior to the upgrade. I'm honestly a bit concerned that the older variables that have worked for over 10 years now seem to no longer work. This would seem like a HUGE oversight by the development team. I'm curious to know if there is going to be work done to allow the use of these older variables again? Was this merely an oversight?
