Monitoring Working/Protect ( Active/Standby) interface pairs in orion

I have several instances of working/protect ( Active/Standby) paired interfaces that connect to firewalls. 1 of the interfaces is always up while the other is down . is there a way to bond the pair of interfaces so that they only show down when both are failed.

Overview

This article lists the steps necessary to create an alert to trigger only when all members of a Group status is Down.

Environment

NPM 11.5 and later

Steps

1. Login to the Orion Web Console.
2. Check the Status Rollup Mode Properties of the Group set to Show Best Status.
3. Refer to the Group: Set a rollup type article.
4. Click on Settings.
5. Click on Manage Alerts, then Add New Alert.
6. Refer to the screenshot for the trigger condition:
   
7. Set your Trigger Actions (i.e Email).
8. Save your changes and test accordingly.
