Monitoring RHEL excessive udp logs generated on RHEL Server

I am monitoring several RHEL servers from a poller, no special APM templates, just standard monitoring from npm. Seems that the log on the servers are being flooded with UDP.

log says

snmpd[1624]: Connection from UDP: [poller ip] : 55283(or some number) -> [server ip]

any thoughts on why there are several 10-15 of these ever 2 seconds or so.,
