Alerting on unusual volume growth

Is it possible to create an alert that get triggered from an unusual growth of a volume?

Im monitoring few big volumes that under normal conditions grow only about 2GB per day, but we would like to know if on some particular day, they grow unusually faster.

In the past we had an incident with malware creating huge ghost files, and we want to get alerted on this kind of situations.

I used it for a while but shut it off when I no longer needed the data.
