I have been spinning my wheels on this for part of the morning and kept running into dead ends so hopefully someone else out in Thwack land has had this issue or has some direction to go.
We have a fax application that is called Faxback or NetSatisFAXtion software. It is fax software that runs off a server. I have setup custom SAM monitor on the Windows services and it works great. What I need to setup is a monitor on the website that will let me know when the site is not functioning correctly. In the past I have either utilized installing IIS if the app was a heavy IIS user or I would setup an ICMP node and then either an HTTP or HTTPS monitor to check for words on the site and then send out an alert when it goes down. I figured I would utilize some either the IIS monitor or either the HTTP(s) monitor to check the site..but I am very wrong.
This application does not utilize IIS at all and the Faxback software hosts its own webpage. Ok so I figured I would try to setup the HTTP Form Login Monitor but the webpage that you login to is setup really odd and does not have HTML tags for the user logins.
Anyone have any other suggestions on how I can monitor this webpage? Thanks Thwackers!!
