Clarification on Node errors

When looking at a Nodes network dashboard and you see: (First Column is Receive and Second Column is Transmit)

16,463 discards

Transmit is showing 16,463 errors today.

Does this mean the node is the issue or what the node is receiving is the issue?

Do you have QoS configured on one or more interfaces of the node? If so, does the QoS policy show drops?

Also, you can validate the presence of errors independent of SolarWinds using SNMPwalk: High number of reported discards, errors and interface statistics on monitored devices - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help…
