Customer Application Port Monitoring - How do I monitor a customer TCP/IP Port, not found by default within SAM ?

Currently, I have two windows based servers already being monitored within SolarWinds NCM.

My current version of SolarWinds NCM has add-ons/components for SAM.

Right now, I have two servers running a custom web based application that listens to TCP/IP PORT 9080.

Is there a way that SAM can monitor TCP/IP PORT 9080 ?

The monitored ports I see within SAM are default well-known TCP , UDP ports, and I dont see an option to ADD or CREATE a customer monitor.

You want to use the TCP Port Monitor component. You can define any TCP Port with this monitor.

I'm trying to locate the TCP Port monitor within SAM and I cant seem to find this option and/or menu.

Are these settings located within SAM SETTINGS ?

Or does SolarWinds have a link that provides step-up-step instructions for locating this component ?

Create a new Application Template, then add the TCP Port Monitor to that template.
