I have a request from a developer. He needs to get the memory utilization of a specific process on a specific server at during a specific time range.
Does anyone have a query for this or a know of a report I can use?
Was the process part of a SAM template? Orion won't be retaining metrics on it unless you designated that it was important by adding it as a component in a template.
Assuming it was being monitored then the easiest solution I think is to use Perfstack, YOURSERVER/ui/perfstack/
Click add entities.
1) Change the type from node to application and find your application monitor and add it.
2) It will show up in the list on the left column, click on it.
3) Find the name of the process you were looking for in the second column, expand that and find the metric, either avg memory used or avg percent memory should be correct. Drag the metric(s) to the chart area and it will draw it out.
4) Set the time range you want to show
That is exactly what I did. Took me a while to find it. As usual you are exactly on point!
And luckily it was part of an App Monitor.
