I remember reading before an issue when upgrading to 8.1 I believe, if you had custom interface speeds, the installation reset them all back to the current running speed of the interface. In the 8.51 release notes, it states Automatic rediscovery of changes to interface speedIf you change the speed of a managed interface, Orion will automatically update the speed; however, if you set a custom speed, Orion will respect the custom speed. That doesn't tell me that I will lose my custom speed settings, which I have setup on all my ethernet interfaces facing my telco's WAN device. Can anyone confirm that I will either keep my custom speeds, or do I have to reconfigure them all afterwords? Thanks,

Customer interface speeds during upgrade

I remember reading before an issue when upgrading to 8.1 I believe, if you had custom interface speeds, the installation reset them all back to the current running speed of the interface.

In the 8.51 release notes, it states

With 8.5.1, you should keep your custom speeds.

I'm having the problem with Multilink interfaces.

Was 8.5.1 to address rediscovery of speeds on all interfaces?

We haven't noticed any problems with 8.5.1 automatically adjusting speeds on multilink interfaces when changes are made. Are you saying that yours isn't detecting the changes? Do you have bandwidth statements configured on your router interfaces, and were they adjusted when the speeds changed?
