MAPI Probe issue

I have noticed that sometimes my probes fail which 'usually' means I have to delete the user profile on the server. However there are times, like this morning, that I see a LOT of processes for the same probe running. What I have to do is kill these one at a time and sometimes that fixes the probe issue.

I need to know why this is occurring and how to prevent it.

Just to close the loop with folks on thwack.  Here's the resolution from the support case:

After doing further investigation development is confident this is a Microsoft issue.  There is a support ticket opened on it, reference # SRQ100121600614.

The best of course of action for you is to open your own support case with Microsoft.  We will be happy to work with them to get this resolved, just let us know and we can schedule some time.
