Hi All,I am running NPM 9.5, but all my servers are running the Event Forwarder v8. I can't find anywhere to get a later version. Is there one, and if so, where could I find it?

I don't believe there is a later version than 8. Version 8 was a big update for us as it supported Server 2003 X64 versions. I am betting the next version will support Server 2008 including core builds....though I'm not entirely sure how feasable that is....Server Core doesn't get along with .NET.

I'm not too concerned at this point as I have no functionality or compatibility issues with NPM 9.5 and OWSF 8. I'm just trying to be proactive & ensure that there aren't any bumps in the road ahead. I know there are also freeware syslog forwarders out there, but I'd rather have a reasonably homogeneous monitoring environment.

If you check the "Additional Components - Orion v8 and v9" section of your customer portal, you should see the new Log Forwarder for Windows. This was developed by the Kiwi Syslog team and replaces the old Windows Event Forwarder. It is available at no cost to Orion NPM and Kiwi Syslog customers current on maintenance.
The new Log Forwarder for Windows addresses many of the long outstanding enhancement requests:

Does this include Server Core installs of Server 2008?
I've downloaded, thanks.I like the feature of filtering on the forwarding host, which will reduce NW traffic & reduce processing load on the Orion server. I'll do some testing next week & feedback then.
I am about to deploy about 8 new Win 2008 R2 SP1 Server Core.
Was this ever finalized so that Syslog Forwarded can be deployed on Server Core via comd line?
