Reports: SQL Error Timeout Expired
wabrand
I am trying to generate the "Average and Peak Traffic Rates" report and I consistently get an error. The error is SQL Error:Timeout Expired. Does anyone know how to resolve the issue? I have increased the SQL query timeout to the maximum of 20 minutes and I continue to get the error after only 1 minute.

In addition to the application timeout, I think there needs to be an increase on the timeout at the SQL server itself.

Another thing to try, is to tweak your query.
Keep in mind that how you order the query has a big impact on the DB response time. Make sure you have the most specific query first.
Example, if you have 500 nodes & 8000 interfaces & you want an interface report for specific interfaces, try to filter out the nodes first, before you filter/query the interface data.
