Duplicate nodes issue

After a quick search of the forums, I haven't found the answer so I thought I'd post a new thread.

I'm new to Orion (only been working with it about 2 weeks now) and I'm running into an issue. When looking at the node list in the software (8.1.3), the node list looks fine. But when I go to the web interface or open Map Maker, the entire node list is duplicated. My team lead gave me until the end of the day to figure this out and get rid of the duplicate nodes. Any ideas?

Just to clarify - these are duplicate nodes and not duplicate interfaces correct? If these were interfaces being duplicated, this can occur due to the re indexing of that device. Orion will not auto-remove the previous locations of the interface, it will simply add the "newer" ones. You would then need to manually remove the older interfaces, but you would also lost the traffic attached to them. Have you recently migrated the DB causing you to have 2 engine IDs? Hopefully this is the case and then you would just need to reassign the nodes to the new Engine ID.

Yes, these are duplicate nodes. I'd love to post a screen shot, but I doubt the security team would like that. I'm inheriting this, so I have no idea what was done previously.

If you are concerned about the root causes of this I would suggest opening a support ticket or you could just delete the duplicate nodes.

the problem is, I can't see the duplicate nodes in the software. Looks like I'm going to be opening a support ticket.

I am seeing a similar problem on my network, but it is with interfaces. I see amny. many duplicate interfaces. The interface names are the same, but the duplicates have a blue question mark next to them.

My Engines table in the database has only one listed, so is re-indexing of the nodes the only other explanation for whay I see?

Also, if I have to delete these interfaces, can I do that by running a read-write SQL query in DB Manager?
