CPU load at 100% for days, no alert.

I have inherited the SolarWinds Orion implementation and I ran into this situation which I don't understand.

I have a server that is not in any alert condition, but is showing in the details that it jumped to 100% CPU utilization on October 13th and remained that way until present. It is currently at 100% and is no listed in Active Alerts. everything look green except for the 100% CPU load. Looking at the Alert Manager I see why no notification would be sent; it's due to a custom property that designates Tier 1 from lower tiers. Lower tiers are not set to ever send a notification. However, this doesn't explain why there is no Active Alert.

Since the Node Properties for this server show Alerting Thresholds are at the Orion defaults (90% warning/95% critical), shouldn't I see an active alert?

Can you show us the configuration of the alert ????

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the configuration of the alert in the Alert Manager? If so, the alert manager is set up to not send out an alert notification no matter what the CPU threshold is. So I guess what I'm asking is if the alert has to be set up in the alert manager in order for something to appear in the Active Alerts listing in the SolarWinds web page.

It is just that.
Are you thinking right. Configures it to priate is 80% vc load receiving this alert.
I thought u had already done the alert.

So the take away for me is that any item/component going out of spec in SolarWinds means nothing at all unless an alert has been configured in the Alert Manager. That is what I was having trouble understanding.
