Solarwinds SAM SWIS // Creating an Application with "Orion.APM.Application" "CreateApplication"

Dear community

I'm looking at automating the application discovery through powershell and being able to run this scheduled. Using the website this is currently not possible.

I've got the code ready to add the application based on a specific node and template. However I've not been able to recreate one feature from the web-gui. Does anybody know how to achieve the "Exact Match" feature?

I don't really want to assign the Application and check the state and then delete if not applicable because this would be very time consuming and create many unnecessary log entries.

the link you provided only seems to show node & interface discovery but not application discovery.
How would I achieve that?
