like mentioned before, depends on what you are tasked with/trying to accomplish as well as what your background is...

if you've had prior programming and underestand SQL basic concepts you'd probably be bests served by taking the "writing queries using T-SQL"

If you have little/no experience running MS SQL servers and you are going to be the one responsible for its care and feeding (a good base level of understanding is better than looking at it as a black box/magic):

Maintaining a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database
Implementing a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database

If you're implementing APM and will need to write/support SQL queries for APM components (and/or are using MS SQL Reporting Services):

Writing Queries Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Transact-SQL
Tuning and Optimizing Queries Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005

If you are planning on augmenting Orion graphs and reports with MS SQL Reporting Services:

Implementing and Maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services

Maybe if/when you plan on upgrading the database that you're running Orion on from MS SQL 2005 --> MS SQL 2008
