Shrinking map

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded to NPM 10.1 and seem to be having a problem with the sizing of maps.
On some of the accounts we use, the map has been reduced in size using the scale option.

We have set a map to 98% but it keeps shrinking to about 50%

Any ideas people?

Work Around:
For those who are expiriancing this problem, there is a short term work around until Solarwinds fix this bug.

The problem appears to be when a single map is used in multiple views, but use different scales. So if you make a copy(s) of any maps which are having this problem. You will want a copy for every differnt scale you use.

I have updated Solarwinds on the case I have open about the problem.
Once I have had a responce about the fix of this bug, I will post for all to see.

UPDATE: I have been informed that this problem will be fixed in the next major revision of NPM 10.1.2

Is this in the web console? If you edit the map resource you can set the scale or size range. Could be someone is going in there besides you and changing this value?

Yes it is in the web console. I am aware how to change the scale, via the edit button, but this figure is not changing.

It changes size upon a refresh and the staff the view have to refresh the page a couple of times to get it to appear back to the right size again.

It has been set to a scale of 98% and this figure has not changed

Hmm please open a support ticket so we can further investigate what is going on.

we are also see strange scale problems with maps. we are at 10.1.1 and since the upgrade we are seeinmg maps scale incorrectly requiring multiple refreashes to display correctly

attached is an example - the map is the whole world but asia is cut off on the right side. If I refreash (maybe a couple of times) it will eventually display correctly.

Thoughts?

For what it's worth I have also reported this as an on-going problem in all of the EOC versions - including 1.3.
