I have a Meru Networks MC4200 and NPM does a good job of monitoring which nodes are up and down. Additionally, I can use the Alert Manager tool to create an alert that allows me to check on the type of property to monitor "Wireless Access Point" and status of "down". Unfortunately, I can't find a way to select this combination in Report Writer. I suspect it's doable if one is talented in SQL, but I am not.
Ultimately I'm looking to get a report every morning letting our Helpdesk know which APs are down so they can dispatch a technician and so they have an idea of what to expect in regards to reported Wi-Fi issues.
Has anyone else had success with something like this?
