Basic critical monitoring for Sql Server?

Hi All,

I'm completely new to the product, and trying to figure out how to monitor critical processes on our SQL Servers such as the following:

- Dead jobs
- SQL Agent not responding
- Long running queries
- Deadlocks
- SQL not accepting connections

I've looked at AppInsight for SQL, but that is way more than I need right now. Right now, we just need to make sure the critical processes are monitored and alerting.
