We have separate Core and Edge device snmp communities. I would like to create a view limitation based on the snmp community so the view lists only client snmp community devices. It seems like this would be a straight forward thing, but I've been banging my head against it for a while. I cannot create a custom property to build an account view with since Nodes.Community is already a system property. Is there a way to build a limitation using a system property?
I've run through a bunch of the standard limitations and have run into issues on all of the devices I've tried. We cannot limit based off of IP Address Pattern since there is some overlap between the two groups of devices. Machine Type is also out due to overlap plus we are starting to see a lot of machine types showing up as merely "Cisco". I'd rather not use Group of Nodes due to the number of nodes involved and the requirement of manually adding every new edge device. Node Name Pattern is out due to there being a lack of naming convention until recently.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
