Orion NPM loses SNMP connectivity to i Direct NMS & Protocol Processor

I have Dell 1950s running Red Hat Linux Enterprise Linux EX Release 3 (Taroon Update 8). These Protocol Processors and NMSs have been added to Orion NPM with SNMP v3 to monitor, collect and report stats. We have been having issues with Orion NPM losing SNMP connectivity. The lose of connectivity is reflected by "yellow Triangles" on the Nodes and "?" for the interfaces in the node tree.

I can run "List Resources" and complete the SNMP walk but the "yellow Triangles" on the Nodes and "?" for the interfaces in the node tree do not resolve to the normal states. The only corrective action is to Stop and Restart the SNMP Services on the Dell 1950 and then complete the SNMP walk.

I am at a lose as to the cause of this issue. We have 30 Protocal Processors and 16 NMS servers. This issue happens on a semi-frequent basis of once every 3 months or so.

Is anyone else have any issues similar to this? Any information or theories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
