Shared editing of maps

maWe have several users that we want to be able to edit NTM maps.  I can see how one user can export a map in several ways for someone else to use or edit, but that is not the same as having one map that several users can edit/maintain.  As this doesn't seem like an unusual situation, how do we do this?

We discussed this item over phone. However, the instructions below will guide you through on how to accomplish Shared Editing of Maps.

1. Start -> All Programs -> SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper -> Support Tools -> Click NTM Diagnostics

2. Click the Start button in the SolarWinds Diagnostics window.

3. Choose a location (save) for the Diagnostics zip file, which will be created.

4. Input the Map File Path (The map which needs editing for multiple users)

5. Map Password will be filled in automatically. Click Ok

6. Give it a min or two, to gather Diagnostics information.

7. Once complete, Close the SolarWinds Diagnostics window

8. Open the SolarWindsDiagnostics zip file.

9. Go to the folder Maps, and move the map file to a folder or share drive where users can edit the map.

10. Open this map using SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper Application. (P.S: This map does not have password and can be open by users for editing and updating)
